The World Visits Manzanillo- Photo Friday

Submitted by Manzanillo Blogger on Saturday, 9 May 20093 Comments

Perla Del Mar Pool View

At dawn on May 4 2009 The World pulled into Manzanillo.
The story is that this boat was on its way to San Diego and did not carry
passengers, but it did lie at anchor off the old town all day and pick up
supplies from one of the supply boats. Here it is later in the afternoon not
long before it sailed into the sunset.

Me and some friends watched a similar boat pull into Manzanillo a few week ago. There are unbelievably gigantic!!!! I could not believe how amazing the boat was. Stopped dead in the water and started to move side ways. Score one for technology.

I saw a special the other night about Luxury liners on the Travel Channel and “The World” was one of the featured vessels!

The World is a luxury cruise ship with 165 private residences aboard.

I was in Manzanillo when the ship came into port. I had heard that it was an empty ship with no passengers headed to San Diego before the start of the hurricane season (Not True!)
