Welcome to the new Manzanillo Blog!

Manzanillo radiates a peaceful timelessness amid the ever-changing country of Mexico. A veritable paradise, Manzanillo sits 180 miles south of Puerto Vallarta on the west coast of Mexico. Pristine beaches, coral reefs, and friendly locals make this place a unique and alluring destination.

Still in many ways Manzanillo feels undiscovered and blissful. Although sprinkled with gorgeous resorts and stunning views, what it carries most naturally is the laid back beach town feel from long ago. This is what we aim to highlight- The surprises around each corner; the oddities and the hilarities; the community that refuses to trade in heritage and customs for modern fast lane life; the gems of background that enrich the experience; that which makes Manzanillo what it is.

We hope you find this blog useful for your travels and the overall Manzanillo experience. As transplants ourselves, we know both the peculiar and the familiar of our adopted home, and we will make it yours as well!

I agree! Having lived in Manzanillo for over four years, my quality of life has greatly improved. How refreshing to be greeted warmly with smiles and waves. This is my home now and I love it!

Glad to hear the old smokestack will be retrofitted in a couple of years or so .
