Book Exchange in English!

Submitted by Manzanillochick on Thursday, 31 July 2008No Comment

With exception of a margarita, not much is better matched to a lackadaisical day at the beach then a good book. Being that we live in Mexico, this sometimes can present the challenge of finding a book in English. A little restaurant called El Tablao hosts a free book exchange.

There is roughly around 1000 or more books, the large majority in English, and of almost all genres. We found many good reads. Don’t worry if you forgot your library card- it runs on an honor system. All they ask is that you return the books in good condition and in a reasonable time frame. Sounds fair to me! There are also baskets for dropping off books you would like to donate to the collection.

You can find El Tablao among the stretch of Miramar shops and restaurants.
